Pictures From The City

Alright, for those who don't know where I am from... Bangalore (now renamed to Bengaluru.. or Bengalooru... for reasons no sane person can understand.. ever!) the city where one can see overlapping of cultures, a place for all the IT giants, ever increeeeeeeeeeeeasing population, potholes, accidents, garbage, etc.. a city where night life is banned because authorities feel that it will reduce the crime rate, and flyovers are built just for the sake of it (we have nitwits for politicians!), speaking of flyovers this is the only city in the entire world that has a traffic police to man a flyover! Am I proud or what!

Here are few pictures from my city ... that caught my eye and swept me off my feet! (what do you think I would do if I lost my breath laughing)

I feel this is a prize winner... the people are so heeding to the request... definitely not 'through'ing garbage here. Where do you get to see so much honesty these days? (They never are through with garbage unfortunately)

Cloud

I look around and see so clear
Visions smudged and pains that smear
And in the deathless night
I watch your cosmic wink

I feel myself sink into me
Unheard voices waking with a scream
Space and time lie down here
Where no soul stirs a thing

Invisible walls stretch to the infinite sky
Like tidal waves frozen on the sands of time
Words unspoken, thoughts mercilessly spared
A million imaginations shape me under your colourful blink

Oh dear stars, I am but a passing cloud
And yet you hear every word I speak, every whisper I shout

Rain

Lost in the rain
Eyes stare at infinity

Through the heavenly drops
See the lonely cloud pour its heart out

Behind curtains of twinkling pearls
The trees stand with open arms
Reaching out to the unknown
So quiet, so still, so desperately patient

See the wind give birth to movement
Invisible hands shape smooth and sensuous

How thee captivate my every breath
How thee control every pore on my skin

And I see through shattered glass and broken dreams
Eyes stare at infinity
