A Rain To Remember
I find myself staring at the window
Where the sunlight dissolves into a vortex of dust and stagnation
And the world seems to crawl inside
Into my thoughts, into my eyes
Sitting on the window sill
I see another day pass by
And I wait in mute expectation
No care if anybody else would
To see if the cold winds bring with her
The fragrance of the fire within and the earth without
I look at the grey of the fading horizon
Wanting my exiled wishes to revolt
Waiting to break free from the self
And fall into the deepest skies
“Maybe I am scared but I know it feels right
Maybe I am quiet but look at my eyes
Their aplomb holds a legendary glow
That annihilates the scorn of uncertainty
Within the skin flows a passion in plenitude
Spotted by the reminiscences of your every move
Your every word that drowned me to dreaming
Every touch that drew away my might”
Echoing a dream of tidal waves and muddy feet
A shy gaze and a smile that melts the heavens
And I am answerable to this ephemeral glance
That ceaselessly commands my breath and my being
The vagrant soul knows not where he treads
The vacuous does not bother
“Don’t think I am strange to me oh unearthly ones
If you would witness something you never can conceive”
It is raining tonight
For the clouds fail to endure the overbearing fall
They grumble and shimmer and viciously churn
To relive the point of no return
A Warrior’s Dream
Spitting fire on the surface of the earth
And in the middle of the battlefield
Stood the strong warrior
Fearlessly facing the enemy’s swords
Spears and arrows showering on him
All of them thirsty for his blood
He faces them all
With only a shield to defend himself with
Seeing the corpse of his fellowmen
And their lives oozing out of the wounds
The blood of these brave men glittering in the sun
He silently wished for his enemy’s ill luck
And when the war is won
And the enemies are perished
He goes back home
Silently kicking the dust
Dreaming of conquering the world
Dreaming of becoming a God, a legend
A God who waged wars to find peace

I Wonder…
I wonder why the day disappears
and the night comes with pointed spears
I wonder why the sun is hot
and the moon, a silver dot
I wonder why the stars twinkle
It’s colors so warm and simple
I wonder why the river flows
I wonder which way it goes
I wonder why the wind blows
Whispering things no one knows
I wonder why the clouds float
Sailing aimlessly, like a wrecked boat
I wonder why the birds fly
Under the endless, blue sky
I wonder why it rains
I wonder if it washes off all my pains
I wonder why sadness comes after happiness
Leading me to a trail of menace
I wonder why there is terror
I wonder why there is always a human error
I wonder why there is war unleashed
Feeding death a bloody feast
I wonder why there is hatred around
With hearts so empty and minds unsound
I wonder why people like to live in illusions
Eyes wide open but with so narrow visions
I wonder why people feel lonely
When there is no reason to be
I wonder why we forget to smile
I wonder why we always think of our troubles and cry out a Nile
I wonder why we cannot stay happy with what we have
But we keep asking for more and more every time
I wonder why we try to race against time
I wonder why we can’t live in simple bread and wine
I wonder why people are curious about others
I wonder why they cannot stay to themselves
I wonder why death is our only mortal fear
That leaves nothing but memories of pain and tears
I wonder …

A Solitary Night
With just a fleeting glimpse of the ocean so blue
Giving its empire to the night
Filling the space with sweet smell of dew
One such night I stood by the sea
Over the rocks, under the majestic sky
Watching the waves crashing on the rocks below
Desperately trying to get to the shore
Curious to know what’s on the other side
I saw the surf retreating and coming back again
Playing with the gravel with deliberate innocence
Stirring the sand into a beautiful dance
The sky opened up to the Milky Way
Stretched across the horizon
Revealing a million stars watching over me
Twinkling colors bright and shiny
The moon gently floating over the sea
Dressed like the night’s queen
The midnight flower welcoming her with glee
What a lovely sight it was to see
One such night I stood by the sea
Forgetting the loneliness growing inside me
The love and care I craved for
I found them all here
I found my treasure
In the vaults of a solitary night
